![]() Hello, hope you enjoy this website. You will find everything you need for your carnivorous plants. If you still don't have a carnivorous plant ,you will be able to buy one here. INTRODUCTION Carnivorous plants are plants that feed partly on animals, especially insects, they catch them and eat them. The reason for such behavior is usually that, exotic plants that are adapted to live in nutrient-poor environments such as bogs, acid swamps and limestone slopes. It is estimated that about 600 species of plants that have this feature. Almost all of them grow where the soil is acidic and poor in nitrogen, and under these conditions, catching insects is one way to get nitrogen compounds without the need to synthesize them. At the same time, the green leaves of these plants make carbohydrates (photosynthesis as do plants overall). The capture mechanism occupies a small space, and therefore prey is, almost inevitably, tiny insects and small mammals as an exception or fish. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
